Social Security disability benefits can provide an important cash inflow to clients who face unexpected and unusual expenses to support a family member with a disability. Moreover, a Social Security Administration adjudication of disability paves the way for clients with disabilities to access other types of Federal and State benefits. This presentation will provide a clear and concise education on the process the SSA uses to determine disability in adults so that advisors can speak with more confidence and direct clients to better resources when disability impacts their financial plan.
