Board of Trustees - Executive Committee

The NAPFA Foundation Board of Trustees drives our mission of promoting consumer financial education through pro-bono financial advice. Trustees serve a two-year term. The Board typically meets monthly by phone to discuss the direction of the Foundation and determine priorities. Trustees also serve on a committee of their choice.

President

Danielle Seurkamp, MS, MPAS®, FBS®, CFP®

Danielle is the Principal and Founder of Well Spent Wealth Planning in Cincinnati, Ohio. She advises and supports individuals and families at all stages of life. Her passion is to help people achieve and enjoy financial success by making the best use of their financial and non-financial resources. She has a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning and maintains three professional certifications as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, a Master Planner Advanced Studies®, and a Certified Financial Behavioral Specialist®.

Danielle has volunteered for NAPFA/Kiplinger Maximize Your Money Days and founded a financial wellness program for Cincinnati’s Center for Respite Care to help people reestablish financial security and transition out of homelessness.

Vice President
Michael Joyce, CFA®, CFP®

Michael is founder and President of Agili. As such, he is responsible for overall investment strategy, management of investment portfolios and financial counseling services. Michael received a B.S. degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Drexel University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Michael is former chair of the NAPFA National Board of Directors, and past president of the NAPFA Foundation. Michael also currently serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Richmond Forum, and as member of the Endowment Committee for Lead Virginia.

Jamie Milne, CFP®

Jaime started Milne Financial Planning and became a NAPFA member in 1996 after working as a MassMutual agent and in banking. As a “happy and solo” practitioner, Jamie has three offices in Vermont: South Burlington, Barre and St. Johnsbury. Jamie is currently Secretary/Treasurer of the NAPFA Foundation. He also served on the NAPFA National Board of Directors from 2002-2005, and as chair of the NAPFA National Board of Directors in 2004. In addition to his services with NAPFA and the NAPFA Foundation, Jamie serves as treasurer of the Thaddeus Stevens School in Lyndonville, Vermont, as well as secretary of the St. Johnsbury Rotary Club.

Michael D. Gibney, AIF®, CFP®, CAP®

Michael D. Gibney is a Principal and Wealth Manager at Modera Wealth Management, LLC. Michael is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and has earned the AIF® - Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® professional designation. He served as the Governance Chair for the NJ Metro Multiple Sclerosis Society Board of Trustees and remains an active member today. He served as 2010 Chairman of the New Jersey Financial Planning Association and 2011-2013 Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the NJ Metro Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Dr. Kristy Archuleta, PhD

Dr. Kristy Archuleta is an Associate Professor in one of the nation’s premier financial planning programs at the University of Georgia and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Prior to joining the faculty at UGA in August 2018, she was an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Personal Financial Planning program at Kansas State University. Her research and teaching interests relate to financial therapy, couples and money, and effective mechanisms to improve financial and overall well-being. She is a co-founding board member and Past-President of the Financial Therapy Association, current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Financial Therapy, and has co-edited two books: Financial Planning and Scales and Financial Therapy: Theory, Theory, Research, and Practice. Dr. Archuleta also serves as a Director and the Consumer Representative on the NAPFA Board of Directors.

Trustees

Tom Bradley

Tom Bradley oversees the ASG segment of Schwab’s advisor business, which provides custodial support services customized to independent Registered Investment Advisors with AUM of $300+ million He is responsible for the TD Ameritrade Advisor Services custody business as well as the integration of that business into Schwab. Tom spent three decades at TD Ameritrade, mostly in the service of independent advisors,. He served as president of TD Ameritrade’s Institutional business for 12 years prior to becoming president of the firm’s Retail Distribution unit. Tom is a graduate of the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.

Amy E. Irvine, CFP®, EA, CCFC, MPAS®

Amy is the Founder/Owner of Rooted Planning Group. Amy has had varied experiences in her financial career and successfully transitioned to opening her own firm, the Rooted Planning Group in 2016. She currently serves on the Finance Committee for Fund for Women of the Southern Tier, the Endowment Committee for ART's Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, and the Corning-Painted Post Historical Society and has previously served on the board for Faith-in-Action Steuben County, the and on the Human Ecology Committee for Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Amy remains dedicated to having more diversity in the profession empowered through education as evidenced by her involvement with the NAPFA Education Committee and previous tenure with the XYPN Diversity Committee. She is looking forward to becoming a member of the NAPFA Board and believes Leadership isn't about one action or one person, but “how a group of individuals can collaborate to grow.”

Susan Hodges Strasbaugh, CFP®, EA

Susan is a Wealth Advisor with Buckingham Strategic Wealth. Prior to merging her firm with Buckingham in 2018, Susan was the CEO of Strasbaugh Financial Advisory, Inc., a fee-only financial and investment advisory firm she founded in 1998. Susan graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She previously served on NAPFA’s Women’s Initiative Committee, with the goal of bringing more women into the financial services profession.

Susan has also been recognized as a Woman of Influence by the Colorado Springs Business Journal, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Care & Share, the food bank for Southern Colorado.

John Wenzel, CFP®

John Wenzel is the co-founder of Archvest Wealth Advisors. John demonstrates his passion for financial planning via his commitment to serve each of the company’s clients. Prior to Archvest, John worked as a Financial Advisor at a Registered Investment Advisory firm. He is a NAPFA Registered Advisor, and a Certified Financial Planner. John has served on the NAPFA West Region board, served in multiple NAPFA committees, the Board of Directors for his local Rotary club and is a board member of Hope 680, a ministry dedicated to helping the homeless. John likes to spend his time volunteering through his local Rotary club as well as within the financial planning industry itself. He is actively involved in his local church and enjoys photography, mountain biking, and golf when given the opportunity.
