X. Alexandra Chastain
Alex graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Finance in 1997. Alex joined Abacus at its inception in 1998 and earned her CFP® designation in 2004.
As head of the Abacus financial planning team, Alex coordinates the creation, research and implementation of strategies and processes that will enhance the overall wealth of Abacus’s clients. As a principal at Abacus, Alex advises clients, and provides comprehensive, customized solutions to assist clients in making smart financial decisions to reach their goals.
Alex is passionate about supporting children with special healthcare needs and currently serves as Vice President on the Family Connections of South Carolina Board. She is also a member of the University of South Carolina - University Associates.
Outside work, Alex enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two sons.
