The applicant will work in the capacity as a Para Planner in our Brentwood, TN office. The applicant must have a passion for planning and a desire to serve the client. This is not a job driven by tasks and numbers, it is about building client trust, therefore the candidate must have a moral conviction that is uncompromising. High ethical standards coupled with professionalism and confidentiality are the cornerstones of this position.


Duties for this Position:

1. Financial Planning duties:

• Serve as a behind the scene, Para Planner for existing clients

• Participate in all aspects of servicing of clients; especially handling post meeting follow up work

• Input client information into MoneyGuidePro

• Maintain and/or establish relationships and coordinate with clients' other professional advisors (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) as needed

• Work in a team environment with the willingness to share information, find solutions and develop new skills and knowledge from within the group

• Work closely with the Lead Planner(s) to serve the client’s needs

• Associate Planner will not be giving advice in this position

• Advice will only be given by Lead Planner(s)


2. Client Service duties:

• Correspond with client for setting up new accounts, gathering data and documents (assist Client Services with onboarding new clients)

• Process client paperwork

• Mail client correspondence when necessary

• Transcribe meeting notes and write up a summary of the client meeting

• Once approved by the planner, FINAL client meeting notes will be sent to client and notated in CRM

• Distribute client tasks to Employee(s) per client meeting notes via CRM

• Update Client Meeting Notes and Tasks as completed

• Keep up with what is going on in all aspects of the clients lives

• Schedule client appointments, reminders for those appointments and communicate with clients via telephone and email and document within CRM

• New client paperwork; setting up a paper, virtual, and CRM file, issuing client number, etc.

3. Other duties:

Candidate is expected to take ownership in the success of the firm and for that reason is expected to carry out any and all duties necessary to get the job done. In the absence of the Client Services Associate, the Associate Planner will assist with those duties.

Qualifications for this Position:

Ideally, the candidate should possess the following skill set:

• Highly motivated, thorough and very detail oriented

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Have an awareness of financial planning issues related to managing wealth

• Ability to understand financial strategies and investments as related to Clients

• Able to gain and maintain the respect of high net-worth families

• Impeccable work history

• Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements

• Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player with a ‘no job is beneath me’ attitude.

• CFP Board registered financial planning program student/graduate.

• Ideally have earned the CFP marks (or in the process of doing so)
