Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC, a well-established Philadelphia-based Barron's Top 50 boutique wealth management firm, is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented CFP Wealth Manager with financial planning skills, a CPA, or mastery in corporate/business tax matters to join our practice as a Senior Financial Advisor. This is an outstanding career growth opportunity for a well-credentialed, technically competent and service-minded professional to hone and extend their wealth management capabilities and skills and become an integral member of our highly regarded wealth management team.


Working in close collaboration with the firm’s principal and senior wealth management advisors, as well as the firm’s client services, operations, investment and marketing teams, the Senior Financial Advisor delivers financial advisory and wealth management services to targeted groups of established high-net-worth clients and/or institutions. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining client relationships, providing expert financial planning and investment advice, retaining and increasing client assets under management and supporting Wescott’s sales and marketing teams in the acquisition of new business.


In addition, the ideal candidate will have the education, skills and experience necessary to function as an internal subject expert on tax and planning issues, and to consult with other members of the Wescott team on these matters.

Key Tasks:

1. Establishes and maintains client relationships. (a) Develops and maintains supportive/consulting rapport with assigned clients. (b) Proactively communicates/reports/meets with clients (as appropriate). (c) Maintains an up-to-date awareness of client wealth management issues and needs. (d) Proactively communicates changes or opportunities related to client Wealth Management goals.

2. Provides counsel, guides, implements, monitors and periodically adjusts client’s wealth management strategies and plans.

3. Actively demonstrates/develops and maintains specialized subject matter expertise. (a) Has a deep and current understanding of subject matter. (i) Portfolio Management (implementing Wescott’s Models, monitoring and re-balancing). (ii) Other (Financial Planning, Estate and Tax Planning, Insurance and Risk Management, etc.). (b) Participates in continuing education and maintains appropriate licenses and certifications. (c) Provides firm-wide thought leadership on subject matter.(i) Writes two practical, client-centered articles per year. (ii) Seeks out and engages in opportunities to present subject matter to clients, prospective clients and the professional community. (iii) Keeps other members of the team informed of current issues and opportunities related to subject matter. (iv) Consults with other members of the WM team on client matters. (v) Provides subject matter expertise on specific client matters. (d) Serves as a member of Wescott’s Portfolio Strategy Group.

4. Increases Client AUM. (a) Identifies and brings in new assets to manage from current clients. (b) Works with other Wescott executives to qualify and close new client opportunities. (c) Develops and maintains a network of COIs relevant to Wescott’s Financial Advisory Business. (d) Identifies and refers new client leads from personal COIs and former client relationships.

5. Consistently uses all Wescott tools and systems and maintains all documentation and work process protocols.

6. Advises, develops, mentors and serves as a resource to other team members.


The Senior Financial Advisor candidates must have earned the CFP designation, have a minimum of five year’s wealth management experience and hold a CPA and/or JD with education, experience and expertise in tax matters.
