Research Analyst

Parsec Financial is looking for a Research Analyst in our Asheville office. The Research Analyst is responsible for compiling research reports and making recommendations to the Investment Policy Committee. The analyst can expect to focus on creating/updating/presenting in-depth due diligence on covered securities, screening for new ideas, maintaining/overseeing stock and mutual fund scoring systems, and maintaining quantitative ranking, recommendation history and performance tracking spreadsheets. The candidate must be organized, analytically-minded, and apply a high attention to detail to their work. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics or related experience, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation (or working toward it). Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and proficiency with FactSet or Bloomberg is a plus.
