Financial Focus, Inc. in Wolfeboro, NH is seeking a Senior Financial Planner. This position will report to the owners of the firm.

Fee-Only Financial Advice Leads To A Better Plan

Financial Focus provides unbiased financial advice. The interests of our clients come first. We are not engaged in product sales. We receive no commissions or other incentives from client product recommendations or purchases. Arrangements made with brokers, asset managers, mutual fund companies, insurance providers, attorneys, and CPAs are made solely for the convenience of clients and are based on individual situations. We do not pay or receive referral fees. We believe the best financial advice comes from someone who is not trying to sell you anything. We are a congenial firm, with a focus on teamwork through individual accountability. Every member of our team is a crucial part of delivering the best service to our clients. We are looking for the right person to come aboard our team and contribute ideas, a strong work ethic, energy and enthusiasm to our group. This is NOT a sales position although you should be comfortable generating new clients through referrals and Centers of Influence.

Responsibilities Include but may not be limited to:

  • Work with existing and new financial planning clients, develop a thorough understanding of each client’s financial situation to create and deliver a suitable strategy based upon Financial Focus, Inc.’s guidelines.
  • Provide investment strategies to achieve client goals. Identify the appropriate risk tolerance, discuss appropriate savings or spending strategies and provide additional financial planning solutions as needed. Provide both verbal and written plans to communicate the recommended strategies following firm procedures.
  • Serve as clients investing coach, conducting periodic review of portfolios and providing appropriate reports addressing client’s ongoing advisory needs.
  • Demonstrate a mastery of client relationship management skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills to build and strengthen client relationships.
  • Participate in the business development process as needed with prospective clients to deepen relationships and determine appropriate advice solution.
  • Initiate and implement the agreed upon investment strategy;
  • Coach and mentor other firm members as needed to develop and strengthen skills for identifying cues and assessing clients need for advice. Provide ongoing coaching and leadership to others.
  • Promote professional development by maintaining an in-depth understanding of financial planning, capital markets and the financial services industry.
  • Keep abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, and competitive) within the financial services field. Maintain all required designations.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Continuously identify process improvement opportunities along with business solutions.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • 5 or more years of experience working as a Financial Planner and Client Relationship Manager. High net worth client experience preferred.
  • An Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation required
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills – both internal and external client facing
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude with the ability to effectively change and adapt in a continual and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and demonstrate exceptional time-management skills
  • Unique personal experiences a PLUS

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000-90,000 base salary

Potential yearly bonus of 20% of salary

5% 401(k) match

Profit sharing based on company profitability

Continuing education costs including travel expenses

2 weeks paid vacation first year

Transfer of current clients is not required, however, compensation and benefits are negotiable with business transferred.
