Additional Information

My parents divorced when I was eight years old. Overnight, my mother went from a stay-at-home mom to a single mother of four girls who had to work as she went back to school.

Money became tight. Even at that young age, I understood the vulnerable position my mom was in and how quickly financial security could change—especially for women.

The next formative money moment in my life came much later, in 2000 when I was in college. I wanted work experience in business and I came across a listing for a part-time job at a consulting firm—which turned out to be a financial services company.

During my time there I realized that financial planning is about much more than numbers—it’s about paying attention to the emotions and life experiences of each individual person. As a result, I discovered a passion for helping others plan out their financial lives in a meaningful way that continues to this day.

Over the years that followed, I furthered my education and gained vast experience working with a variety of clients. But the ability to partner with courageous women who emerged from their challenges with grace, strength and resilience was the most fulfilling. After twenty years, I decided it was time to put my complete focus on guiding women through those difficult times. And Cultivate Financial Wellness was born.

When I’m not working, I love doing anything to do with fitness, but my favorite activities are yoga, running and walking my two dogs, Sullivan and Luger. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, and working on home improvement projects with my husband, Jeff. (Although, he might say I enjoy those home projects more than he does!)
