Planning Specialties
Many mid-career professionals work hard for their equity compensation and international opportunities, but have little time to untangle the tax and financial complexity that comes with them. When cross-border issues enter the picture, the stakes and confusion only grow. Through Soaring Wealth, I specialize in helping equity-compensated professionals, US expats in Europe, and investors with complex holdings make clear, confident decisions about their wealth. I act as a personal CFO, providing a 360-degree view of your finances so every choice — from RSU sales and option exercises to retirement and estate planning — supports your long-term goals. ? My work integrates financial planning, tax planning and preparation, and investment management into one coordinated service. Rather than juggling multiple advisors, you partner with one firm that understands your equity compensation, cross-border tax obligations, and family priorities — and proactively helps you navigate them. ? Clients typically come to me pressed for time and worried about missing something important. I simplify complexity, model trade-offs, and highlight potential unintended consequences in plain language so you can make informed decisions with confidence. My role is to help you protect and grow your after-tax wealth, reduce stress, and free up more energy for your career, family, and the life you are building across borders. ? Core services include: - Creation of an integrated financial, tax, and estate plan centered on your personal goals - Annual spring and year-end planning meetings, including portfolio and tax review - Ongoing portfolio management and investment oversight ? Advanced focus areas include: - Planning around equity compensation (RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, ESPPs, IPOs, and liquidity events) - Cross-border planning for US expats and globally mobile professionalsAdditional Information
I chose the name "Soaring Wealth" because I love the image of a bird high in the sky, riding the wind, and believe that mastering your finances and harnessing them to support your dreams should similarly provide that level of confidence, perspective and freedom.
I founded Soaring Wealth LLC to provide seamlessly-integrated financial planning, portfolio management, and advanced tax planning and preparation to mid- to late career corporate executives with equity compensation, including cross-border financial and tax planning for foreign nationals in the US and US expatriates.
Before launching Soaring Wealth, I spent a decade with a Big Four global consulting firm in San Francisco, Boston, and Zürich, Switzerland, serving both corporate global mobility programs and private clients throughout the United States and Europe. Working with cross-border executives – and living overseas myself – highlighted the numerous financial and tax pitfalls that individuals in such situations encounter.
Upon returning to the US, I realized that I would need to build my own firm to fully use my experience as a CFP® professional with advanced tax and cross-border expertise, and to provide the level of comprehensive, proactive service that my clients need and value.
When I'm not working with clients, I'm likely spending time with my son, Henry, our cat, Calvin, and dog, Rocky. I also practice meditation and yoga and enjoy swimming, skiing, hiking and running.
