I am Laura I. Rotter, founder of True Abundance Advisors, a fiduciary, fee-only financial planning firm. After many years successfully managing money for institutional investors, I found myself bored and uninspired. I questioned whether my profession aligned with my values. I realized I needed to do the work of clarifying my priorities and aspirations, financial and otherwise. After completing a yoga teacher training and establishing a daily meditation practice, my mindset changed from “I must use my life to make money” to “I can use my money to make a life.” This shift initiated a wealth of abundance in my own life. I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and established True Abundance Advisors to share these lessons.

Additional Information

I am passionate about practicing yoga and meditation, which help me create an environment where my clients are able to find that still, small voice inside to guide them toward what they truly value. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, hiking and just "being" with my husband Merrill and my three children, Elana, Ben and Saul.

I am affiliated with Money Quotient, a non-profit organization that, through its Financial Life Planning tools, provides a life-centered approach to financial planning that helps me to engage, enlighten and empower the clients I serve.

I am also affiliated with the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners ("ACP"), a not-for-profit community of fee-only financial planners that share the common philosophy of ongoing education, and use of a retainer model to best serve our clients and to assure that their goals are achieved.
