Planning Specialties
Our doors are open to all in addition to our expertise and specialized knowledge in working with particular demographics.
LGBTQ+ Community
While having the fundamental right to marry has simplified the financial lives of those of us who are members of the LGBTQ community, we’re not out of the woods yet.
Research shows that wage inequality, job insecurity, and housing rights issues still cause doubt and anxiety around financial security. Despite legal access, many same-sex couples are choosing not to marry due to family concerns, religious persecution, or preference. We understand the emotional component and have the expertise to plan around the legal challenges of these unique situations.
Entertainment Industry & Creative Folks
As a creative professional, you’re more than likely pursuing your passion, but doing so at a cost of predictable income, employer benefits like health insurance, retirement contributions, etc., and having to navigate the complex US tax system on your own.
As a small business, we see you. We provide you with the tools and strategies to systematize your financial life and create a stable income flow.
Additional Information
I believe financial planning should be as inclusive as a group text from your chosen family... but let’s be real, the traditional industry hasn’t exactly caught up. That’s why I founded Equalis Financial: to bring thoughtful, identity-conscious guidance to LGBTQ+ folks, progressive inheritors, and other bold professionals charting their own course.
My “why” is personal. I grew up in a financially unpredictable environment, and for a long time, stability felt like something other people had. Now, I help others build the financial future I once thought was out of reach, on their own terms.
Whether you're freelancing, W2, or just trying to make sense of inherited wealth with purpose, a solid financial plan can be your career’s best co-star. At Equalis, we don’t do cookie-cutter strategies. We build plans that reflect who you are and where you want to go.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Services, from California State University, Northridge. A certificate in Personal Financial Planning was earned at UCLA to complete the education coursework requirement for CFP® certification. And in my never ending pursuit of knowledge, I completed a Master of Science degree in Taxation at Cal State Northridge.
