Planning Specialties

The financial industry is a harsh place. The stakes are high, and the fees are collected from the little guy’s life savings. Finding an advisor who is genuinely invested in their client’s well-being can be daunting. Financial planning clients should expect more value from their advisors; value that is received regardless of whether the markets are up or down. A planner should be an empathetic ally that offers creative, custom solutions for every financial question. Clients deserve regular guidance and support, not just an annual check-in; the kind that transforms confusion and stress into calm confidence. At Illuminate, we take the time to know our clients and ask the right questions. We stay curious and diligent as we endeavor to move past, “the way it’s always been done.” Most of all, we are by our clients’ sides, guiding and encouraging, though all of life’s milestones.

Additional Information

Many people feel uncertain about how to retire with confidence. I help clients shift from confusion to clarity and help them retire to something meaningful, not just from work. Together, we build plans that go beyond lifespan to emphasize health span, prioritize purposeful spending and giving by focusing on what really matters…your goals and the net after-tax dollars required to support your goals. I hold a Finance degree, a Master’s in Financial Planning, and have worked in the financial industry since 2008. As a CFP® professional at Illuminate Wealth Management, I’m part of a collaborative team of four CFPs, having access to an experienced investment committee, and a dedicated operations team. At Illuminate Wealth Management, we are a Fee-Only firm offering flexible service models, flat fee, AUM, or project-based, to meet your specific needs. My passion for financial planning began when I saw my dad retire with a pension after 35 years at GE. I quickly realized how rare that kind of arrangement is today. Most people now face the challenge of building their own lasting retirement income. That’s why I view my role as a “personal pension fund manager,” helping clients invest wisely and make tax-smart decisions for the long haul. Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my family, exercising, tackling home improvement projects and tirelessly attempting to master the art of grilling the perfect steak.
