Sunit Bhalla, CFP® is the principal at OakTree Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning firm based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Sunit spent eighteen years working as an R&D project manager and software developer at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies prior to founding OakTree Financial Planning. Sunit is a Certified Financial Planner™ and received a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning.

Sunit is currently serving on the national Board of Directors of NAPFA, an organization of fee-only, fiduciary financial planners. Sunit has also served on the NAPFA Leadership Development committee and the NAPFA Education committee. He led the Northern Colorado NAPFA Study Group from 2010 to 2018.

Sunit has presented at national financial planning conferences more than ten times and has been widely quoted in the press, including in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Kiplinger's, and Morningstar Advisor.

Sunit enjoys spending time with his wife, Janea, and their three kids—Brady (17), Kaitlyn (15), and Tyson (13). Sunit and Janea are avid runners and have run the Colorado Marathon three times.
