Johnson Rhett is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and Chartered Financial Consultant® at Branning Wealth Management, a fee-only fiduciary firm with offices in Jackson, MS and Chapel Hill, NC, serving clients across the country.
Johnson's personal specialty is comprehensive financial planning for millennials and professionals in the early-to-mid stages of their careers. He works with clients on cash flow and savings strategy, tax-efficient investing, employer benefits coordination, equity compensation planning, home purchase decisions, family financial planning, and building toward long-term retirement security. His approach is hands-on and practical - designed for clients who are actively earning, making meaningful financial decisions for the first time, and want a planner who will engage with the specifics of their working life.
Johnson also works alongside founder Jason Branning to support the firm's retirement income planning practice, serving as a day-to-day point of contact for many of the firm's pre-retiree and retiree clients. He works within Branning Wealth Management's Safety-First framework, using time-segmented bond ladders to pre-fund near-term cash flow needs while keeping longer-horizon assets invested for growth.
Johnson is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Mississippi.

Johnson is an active member at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, where he is involved with the music ministry, young adult ministry, and serves as an usher. Before joining Branning Wealth Management, he served as Campus Field Staff with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF).
