Practice Foundation - Capstone
Two experienced fee-only planners – one solo practitioner and one with several partners - will lead attendees through their approaches to help new advisors establish a process for onboarding clients, make decisions about firm administration and maintaining the new client relationship. Topics covered during this Capstone session will pull from the 4 previous Practice Foundation presentations and will include:
- Tips for the initial meeting or conference call
- Questions and tools to best get the information you need (goals, financials...)
- Best Practices
- Presenting the plan
- Handling implementation
- Follow up meetings
The presenters will share the processes, forms and tools they use to interact with the client, gather needed information and cement the relationship with a new client. Tips for using agendas and memos to document client discussions and results of meetings along with other Best Practices will be shared. In- depth financial and other forms will be provided to eliminate the need to “reinvent the wheel” and allow new planners to move more quickly to their analysis and recommendation mode with greater clarity and confidence. Questions will be welcomed throughout the session so that attendees are determining what to spend the most time on and what topics they are most interested in.
