SCHOLARSHIPS TO NAPFA EVENTS

Diahann W. Lassus Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the NAPFA Foundation. This scholarship is available to NAPFA members and non-members. This scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to students from CFP® Board Registered financial planning programs to attend a NAPFA National Conference. The scholarship will cover conference registration and a stipend for expenses of up to $300. Five scholarships will be awarded for each NAPFA conference (Spring and Fall). The application submission period is currently open and applications may be submitted below.

Access & Engagement Conference Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by the NAPFA DEI Committee. Two (2) scholarships are available to NAPFA members and non-members to support participation in the NAPFA Spring 2026 National Conference in Minneapolis, MN from May 6-9, 2026. The scholarship includes conference registration, three hotel nights, and a travel and expense stipend of up to $500.

Gail Parker Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the NAPFA Foundation. This scholarship is awarded to an advisor (NAPFA member or non-member) attending their first NAPFA National Conference who demonstrates a commitment to advancing inclusive leadership and expanding representation within the financial planning profession. This scholarship honors Gail Parker’s legacy by supporting planners who seek to create a more equitable and welcoming profession for all. The scholarship includes conference registration and up to $500 toward travel expenses.

NAPFA Genesis Conference Scholarship

Four (4) scholarships are available for early-career advisors within approximately their first 10 years in the profession who want to attend the NAPFA National Conference, with Early Bird conference registration and $750 toward travel/hotel support. Please note that scholarships are not generally awarded to someone with a professional development budget over $1,000, a full-time student, or someone who has received a scholarship in prior years.

NEMA Region Conference Scholarship

Two (2) scholarships are available for individuals who work or live in the Northeast Mid-Atlantic NAPFA region. The scholarship includes the cost of Early Bird conference registration.

CFP® EXAM SCHOLARSHIPS

Lynn Ballou Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the NAPFA Foundation. This scholarship is available to NAPFA members and non-members. This scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to students from CFP® Board Registered financial planning programs to cover CFP® exam costs. TUITION SCHOLARSHIP

Women's Initiative Scholarship

The purpose of the NAPFA Women’s Initiative is to attract, support, educate, and develop women as leaders within the financial advisory profession and to raise awareness of the need for more female advisors. Women currently represent less than 30% of financial advisors in the profession.

This scholarship supports undergraduate students who demonstrate a strong interest in personal finance and a commitment to advancing women’s representation and leadership within the financial advisory profession.

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in a college or university in the United States who will be a sophomore, junior, or senior in Fall 2026.

The scholarship award includes a $2,500 scholarship to be applied toward educational expenses, a complimentary one-year student affiliate membership to NAPFA, and mentoring opportunities through the NAPFA Women’s Initiative.

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 31, 2026.
