Overview

CGN Advisors is an independent, fee-only financial planning and investment management firm headquartered in Manhattan, KS with offices located around the country. This is a new position working directly with the Managing Principal – Investments (Chief Investment Officer) with significant growth opportunities for the right candidate to learn and grow into a senior portfolio management position for the firm.


Role and Responsibilities

--Assume primary responsibility for daily trading activity for the firm.

--Manage client portfolios in accordance with assigned investment strategy.

--Prepare portfolio analysis for current and prospective clients as appropriate.

--Work with lead advisors to develop client specific implementation.

--Proactively engage with lead advisors to build relationships/trust and support business development.

--Monitor portfolio performance to ensure accuracy.

--Contribute to firm investment strategy, performing research on asset classes and investment solutions, including but not limited to, ETFs/Mutual Funds, individual stocks /bonds, and private investments.

--Clearly communicate in person and via written materials: firm investment strategies, current views/outlook, model updates and portfolio activity to advisors, clients, and prospects as appropriate.

--Prepare client deliverables as needed.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

--Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Personal Financial Planning or equivalent degree. (required)

--Minimum 3 years of experience in investment management, portfolio analysis or trading. (required)

--Currently hold or working towards the CFA, CFP, CIMA, AIF or equivalent designation. (preferred)

--Candidates with more experience will also be considered for a more senior role.


Compensation and Benefits

--Compensation range expected to be between $60,000 and $120,000 depending on experience and qualifications, including a fixed base plus variable compensation (percentage of firm revenue).
