Paraplanner (Hybrid Work Schedule Available)
Description
Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC, a Philadelphia based RIA firm is excited to welcome a Paraplanner to our team (in our Philadelphia office). The Paraplanner is responsible for supporting our Financial Advisors in Philadelphia, Fort Washington and Harleysville primarily in the area of financial planning and client service to achieve client goals. Must be detail-oriented and have prior experience with financial planning.
Core Role and Expectations
- Supports a team of advisors across 100-150 varied client relationships
- Gathers, enters, and maintains client data and documentation in financial planning and CRM systems
- Drafts, edits, and prepares final reports for annual or more frequent financial plan updates
- Researches advisor/client questions, identifies planning opportunities, proactively communicates observations with advisor teams
- Enters and tracks follow up tasks, provides progress updates so the current status is easily understood by teammates
- Assists Director of Financial Planning Standards (DFPS) to develop, enhance, and maintain financial planning processes and procedures; assists in completion of a variety of non-client, financial planning projects such as research on new best practices or relevant laws/regulations that may impact our clients; assists DFPS with organization and content of Advisor Program meetings
- Does not attend client meetings or provide direct planning advice to clients
- Does attend internal Advisor Program meetings
- Assists Advisors with client service requests, expertly coordinating trades, money movement and client paperwork with operations team
- Client interactions include those required for data gathering/clarification or client service execution
- Reviews work methods and procedures and implements quality improvements/efficiencies when appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ work experience in financial planning (eMoney and Salesforce experience preferred)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) (formerly known as Registered Paraplanner (RP)) strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PP)
- Some travel required between offices

- Supports advisors in creating planning demos for business development meetings
