Position Description:
This position is a steppingstone toward becoming a financial planner. Working as a Paraplanner provides the opportunity to learn from hands on experience, observation and individualized training. The Paraplanner will provide operational support to the financial planner. He or she will analyze client information and prepare reports from which the planner will provide advice. The Paraplanner will also interface with TD Ameritrade, our custodian, process account paperwork and execute trades on behalf of the advisor. Additionally, the Paraplanner will have the opportunity to attend many client meetings and observe the financial planning process in action.

Job Responsibilities:
• Gather, organize, enter, and analyze client information and prepare reports and spreadsheets for client meetings
• Complete paperwork to open, transfer and make changes to client accounts
• Execute, monitor, and verify trades on behalf of the financial planner
• Respond to client requests
• Interface with custodian to resolve client issues
• Attend client meetings; take extensive notes, assign and follow-up on action items
• Assist financial planner with research and analysis projects
• Initial entry and verification of income tax data into tax preparation software
• Meet with clients to review income taxes
• Help evaluate and implement new financial planning software
• Maintain information on Redtail (CRM) and retirement planning software
• Assist the Client Service Manager with administrative responsibilities
• All team members are trained to assist with general office support
• Assist with marketing and public relations activities
• Attend and represent firm at community networking functions
Education/Certifications and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study
• 1-3 year’s work experience in the finance industry is a plus
• Willingness to earn CFP™ if not already held
• Willingness to become and Enrolled Agent
• Must obtain Series 65
