Operations / Client Service Associate

Aequitas Investment Advisors, LLC is a successful fee-only investment planning firm located south of Boston in Hingham, Massachusetts. We provide financial planning and investment advisory services to individuals and trustees of non-profit organizations. Aequitas consists of eight team members and provides excellent career development opportunities.

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours) Operations and Client Service Associate who is willing to be a part of our client service focused Company. It is expected that you will maintain an atmosphere of professionalism across the firm and collaborate as a member of the client-relationship management team to maintain a highly personalized level of service.

Responsibilities will include:

• Client Service and Administration

o Ability to manage multiple client situations, tasks and needs simultaneously

o Assist Advisors and Client Reporting teammates with the preparation of client reports, both digitally and physically including the assembly, printing, and binding of materials

o Help execute client tasks after meetings such as follow-up items and filing documents

o Assist Advisors with the onboarding of new clients

o Assist with the quarterly client mailings

o Assisting the team administrator (answering phones and general office support)

• Operations

o Responsible for portfolio trading and rebalancing of client accounts

o Work with custodian, Advisor and Client as needed to resolve account issues.

o Process distribution requests from clients, including completing letters of authorization, mail/email/fax requests to clients for signature

o Monitor client cash balances

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or experience in a related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the financial services/broker-dealer industry.

• Ability to work with spreadsheets and comfortable working with numbers.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and proficiency with minor troubleshooting.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a team-based environment while being independent and driven.

• Willingness to work successfully in a small company environment

Salary and Benefits

Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.

• Salary is commensurate with experience.

• Eligible for Annual Profit Sharing Bonus and fully vested 401k retirement plan after one year of service (Company contributes 15% of salary each year).
