JOB SUMMARY

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our growing Fee-Only Wealth Management Firm. The candidate will gain valuable industry knowledge working as a part of our team and implementing trading of securities as directed by an Investment Analyst, Financial Planner, Partner, and/or our trading software. In addition, a candidate will also participate in and help support special projects within the firm as required.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL

• Enroll and begin the process of completing a professional designation (i.e. CFP®, CIMA®, CPA, etc.)

• Collaborate as a member of the Investment Committee, document meeting discussions.

• Assist with fund research.

• Participate in investment strategy discussions with our third-party vendor resources as necessary.

• Ability to efficiently audit and check various forms of data for accuracy.

• Assist with the completion of any assigned special projects.

• Ability to keep client, firm and employee personal identifiable information (PII) strictly confidential.

• Adding, assigning, and completing tasks associated with client records in our Client Relationship Management system.


TRADING / REBALANCING / CUSTODIAN SOFTWARE

• Implement investment strategy of Client portfolios as established between the Financial Planner and Client.

• Rebalance Client portfolios to the target investment allocations and/or models.

• Assist, review, and execute block trades.

• Resolve trade related issues and allocations in a timely manner.

• Propose tax efficient buys and sells of securities, as directed by software dashboard, while keeping in mind tax implications, transaction fees and expense ratios.

• Monitor and Trade held-away accounts.

• Submit approved trades after proper approval.

• Ensure daily trades are checked and reconciled against custodian orders placed.

• Manage appropriate cash reserves on client accounts to adequately fund withdrawals and fee deductions.

• Run scenarios requested by Financial Planners analyzing any tax and portfolio impacts of proposed changes.

• Responsible for the accuracy of the Eclipse trading software

• Create and distribute reports to be used internally and with Clients.

• Setup Client access to Client Portal.


QUALIFICATIONS

An ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

• Extreme attention to detail.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows, as well as investment and reporting software (Tamarac or Orion preferred).

• Strong analytical and financial skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Client first attitude. Take a proactive, not reactive, approach to Client service.

• Able to multitask and prioritize a variety of activities.

• A team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others.

• Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation and Benefits are competitive based on industry standards.

• Salary will be based on relevant experience and/or academic performance.

• Annual Bonus Plan based on individual and firm performance.

• Referral Incentive income available for business development once a candidate has attained a Series 65 or CFP® designation.
