Associate Advisor
Associate Advisor – Midtown New York City
The Associate Advisor will provide technical support for a senior financial advisor and work directly for the firm's President of an established yet rapidly growing New York City based wealth advisory business.
#1 priority is to relieve the president of all routine matters so he can concentrate on growing the business. On any given day, a successful candidate might:
• Gather information regarding client finances
• Build a financial plan using eMoney
• Teach a client how to use our financial planning platform
• Guide a client in onboarding accounts and rolling over 401K’s
• Help a client prepare an account application or other form
• Maintain a spreadsheet of firm metrics
• Complete routine paperwork
• Perform light bookkeeping
• Add prospect data to our CRM and marketing systems
• Prepare reports for client meetings
The position requires a reliable, organized, deadline-driven individual who has a thorough knowledge of the financial services business, strong relationship management skills, and is committed to being part of a team that delivers a comprehensive client solution. You must be dedicated, goal-oriented, and able to work well in a self-directed and collaborative environment. You will prioritize your own work schedule and apply common sense in performing job duties, communicating, and making decisions which have impact on immediate team.
You must be coachable and flexible - while an Associate Advisor will bring many skills to this position, there is still much to learn. Our firm will provide ongoing formal and informal training and resources to further your knowledge base. The job you have on day one will not be the job you have one year later, or the year after that.
Minimum requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Passed CFP exam, already certified is a plus
• 3-5 years industry experience
• Experience with eMoney (preferred) or MoneyGuidePro
• Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel
Compensation:
• Base annual salary: $72,000
• Salary escalations based on team achievement of revenue goals
• Employer provided health insurance (paid entirely by the company)
