Entry Level Paraplanner / Operations Associate (Non-Sales), 

Fee-Only Wealth Management Firm

Position Summary:

This is an exceptional opportunity for entry level applicants interested in learning about wealth management in a small, friendly office environment. The position’s responsibilities are diverse, covering multiple aspects of the wealth management process including financial planning and portfolio management.


Position Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree (preferably related to finance) and knowledge of/interest in basic financial planning concepts.


Excellent computer software skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (emphasis on Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.


A service-oriented, outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.


A mature, well-organized self-starter for whom producing quality work is important.


The ability to understand and address various technology-related matters.


Multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to anticipate company- and client-related workflow needs.


Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, and input client data related to the financial planning process.


Work with a senior advisor to develop a comprehensive financial plan and produce documents for presentation to the client. Produce annual updates to client financial statements and periodic updates to the comprehensive plan.


Act as liaison with third party client-approved financial organizations and tax preparers in response to information requests.


Assist with the onboarding of new clients to include investment account openings, account transfers and any other related services.


Act as a liaison with our investment custodian on client-related matters, managing the process to resolution.


Assist senior staff with other investment-related tasks as needed, including portfolio implementation.


Manage and complete administrative-level tasks related to office and facilities management.


Interface with and help manage the workflow of third-party IT service technicians and vendors.
