OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER

Introduction

Well established and successful independent wealth management firm - Wingate Wealth Advisors, LLC, located in Lexington MA - seeks an Operations Team Leader to help us provide top tier service to our clients and advisors. We are seeking someone with a passion for helping others who can assist in the ongoing growth and development of the firm.

Overview

The role of the Operations Team Leader is to assist Advisors and their teams in servicing high net worth clients, including preparing custodial forms, working with custodians to address client service requests, coordinating operations processes such as client billing and reporting and managing the Operations department. The position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The Operations Team Leader must be well organized, possess excellent management and software skills and have the ability to produce work with minimal errors while managing the department in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. Successful candidates will be proactive, detail oriented and must have substantial experience in a similar role in our industry. This person must be comfortable and professional in dealing with a wide variety of people and be a good team player.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Supporting our client relationship teams and financial advisors with operational tasks such as client account set-up and service, forms, client billing and reporting and money movement.

2. Processing, submitting and following up on documents (opening/closing accounts, updating beneficiaries, establishing money links, etc.) for our advisors on behalf of our clients.

3. Communicating with custodians and other organizations to meet client service needs.

4. Organizing and managing the Operations department, maintaining procedures and making sure the department is running efficiently.

5. Executing the firm’s strategic plan as communicated by the COO and firm partners.

6. Become highly proficient with Wingate’s technology platform.


Required Skills & Experience

• Significant relevant operations experience in our industry, preferably 5 years or more

• Experience with client relationship management and portfolio management systems

• MS Word skills and general computer skills

• Experience in working with independent custodians such as Schwab or Fidelity

• Very strong accuracy skills, attention to detail and ability to move quickly through data with accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal and management skills, able to effectively and positively interact with outside professionals and internal staff


Desired Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated ability to manage an operations department a strong plus

• Experience with an independent wealth management firm a plus

• Experience with Orion and/or Salesforce a plus

• Experience working with Schwab a strong plus, experience working with Fidelity a plus

• Bachelor's degree a plus

• MS Excel and Outlook skills a strong plus
