Financial Planning Strategist

Parsec’s mission is to help guide clients to financial security. We are hiring for the role of Financial Planning Strategist (FPS) in our Asheville office. The FPS works directly with advisors to assist with the wealth management and financial planning needs of clients. This position is responsible for providing support to advisors in all areas of financial planning including retirement and estate planning, education planning, insurance planning, income tax planning, cash flow planning, etc. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of financial planning concepts, an ability to interpret client data, make recommendations and collaborate with the advisors he/she is supporting. Duties include interacting with clients to better understand their financial information, developing financial plans, attending client meetings, assisting the advisor with meeting follow up, and assistance growing the tools and resources developed by the financial planning department.

The candidate must have their Certified Financial Planner designation, or another similar designation. We would also consider a CFP candidate who has passed the exam but doesn't yet have the work experience to use the credential. A minimum of two years of experience in the investment management or financial advisory industry is required. The candidate must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication. Experience with eMoney is an added plus. We seek an individual who expects to master their financial planning skills and who shows an interest in growing into a lead financial advisor role.
