Paraplanner
CCP Inc. Financial Planning Services, a fee-only financial planning firm founded in 1985, seeks a Paraplanner to join our team. This person will assist in all phases of the financial planning process and be responsible for a variety of office, investment and performance reporting duties. We provide financial planning and portfolio management services to individuals and families, focusing on discipline, diversification, a long-term perspective and education. Education: College graduate and/or demonstrated experience in the financial planning industry
Skills & Job Requirements:
- A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and high integrity are a must
- Experience supporting client relationships
- Business software knowledge (Word and Excel)
- Investment software knowledge (i.e. Portfolio Center & Morningstar) a plus
- Experience with our custodian (Charles Schwab) a plus
- Ability to analyze, collect and communicate complex information
- Ability to multitask and manage a workload of 50 - 75 clients
- Time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Self-starter who can demonstrate initiative
- Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion with respect to all client and firm information
- Willingness to consider enrolling in the College for Financial Planning’s Registered Paraplanner program
Primary Responsibilities and Activities Include:
- Maintain our portfolio holdings and performance software
- Execute recommended securities trades
- Use software tools to prepare various financial planning reports
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations
- Facilitate and follow up on the implementation of financial planning recommendations
- Assist in the investment portfolio rebalancing process
- Interact with office staff and clients in a team setting
- Maintain communication with current clients through on-going mailings and phone calls
- Assist with investment committee reporting and research
- Routine office duties
