Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC, a well-established Philadelphia-based Barron's Top 50 boutique wealth management firm, is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented college graduate from a CFP® Board registered university to join our fee-only practice as an Assistant Financial Advisor. This is an outstanding career growth opportunity for a technically competent and service-minded individual to establish and develop her or his wealth management capabilities and skills and become an integral member of our diverse and highly regarded wealth management team.


Working in close collaboration with Wescott’s Partners, Senior Wealth Management Advisors and other members of the firm’s client services, operations, investment and marketing teams, the Assistant Financial Advisor will help coordinate and deliver comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to a targeted groups of established high-net-worth clients and/institutions.


As a member of Wescott’s NextGen team, The Assistant Financial Advisor position provides a structured opportunity for hands-on learning, continuous professional growth, mentoring and development as well as a long-term career path to more senior roles in the firm.


Key tasks include:


1. Helps Advisors maintain client relationships. (a) Develops and maintains supportive/consulting rapport with assigned clients. (b) Proactively communicates/reports/meets with clients (as appropriate). (c) Maintains an up-to-date awareness of client wealth management issues and needs. (d) Proactively communicates changes or opportunities related to client Wealth Management goals to Senior Advisors.


2. Provides counsel, guides, implements, monitors and periodically adjusts client’s wealth management strategies and plans in collaboration with Senior Advisors.


3. Learns and helps complete client reviews in Wescott’s Quarterly Review Process.


4. Consistently uses all Wescott tools and systems and maintains all documentation and work process protocols.


5. Advises, develops, mentors and serves as a resource to other team members.


6. Expected to sit/pass the CFP exam within two years of hire.


Minimum requirements for the Assistant Financial Advisor position include a degree from a CFP® Board registered university, outstanding academic performance and references and relevant internships and/or paid work experiences. Candidates must already have taken or be eligible to take the CFP® examination. Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around Philadelphia, PA.
