Client Service and Operations Associate
Job Description:
SMS Capital Management, Inc., a growing wealth management firm based in Houston, Texas, is currently searching for a Client Service and Operations Associate. This position is an ideal position for someone desiring a career in wealth management or an experienced office administrator.
The primary duties of this position include:
-Daily reconciliations for client accounts with custodian utilizing firm’s various software programs including CRM, portfolio rebalancing software, and client account reporting platform
-Producing internal management tracking reports and making sure key client information is current
-Support senior financial advisors with client service, maintenance, and prospecting activities including preparation of reports for meetings
-Manage and coordinate client onboarding process and ongoing maintenance issues (new accounts, cash management, distributions, RMDs, transfer of assets, other operational issues)
-Coordinate client correspondence – answering client inquiries, greeting clients in office, and handling other client informational requests
-Support the firm’s marketing efforts including website content and social media
-Limited trading execution
Qualifications:
-Completion of an undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting or finance
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
-Series 65 or willingness to obtain
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Self-disciplined and able to work independently and in a small team environment
