We are a national recruiting firm specializing in placing financial planning professionals with leading wealth management firms nationwide. We are representing a fee-only firm in San Jose, CA that is seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join their team. DYNAMIC, FEE-ONLY RIA

Our client is a fee-only RIA with a 25-year history of serving clients in the Bay Area and nationwide. The firm partners with over 300 households, helping them reach further, dream bigger, and go beyond what they thought possible. This team of 8 manages over $300M for clients building, growing, or sustaining wealth. This is a rare opportunity to provide top-notch financial planning to affluent clients and younger, emerging wealth clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES WE’LL TRUST YOU WITH

Be involved in all aspects of the client relationship. Prepare for client meetings by creating an agenda, running reports, and gather data. Craft financial plans and make client recommendations. Assist wealth advisors conducting meetings by taking notes and executing all action items and follow up. Work closely with Client Service Coordinators to delegate and track administrative tasks. This is a trusted role with potential to shape the future of the firm, grow into a lead advisor, and earn the opportunity for future equity ownership.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors’ degree from an accredited CFP Board Registered financial planning program or equivalent experience. Demonstrated progress towards the CFP® designation. 0-3 years of professional work experience, with a passion for financial planning. Naturally curious with a desire for continuing education. Knowledge of eMoney and Microsoft Excel. Self-starter with a ‘no job is beneath me’ attitude.
