NEW PLANNER RECRUITING

We are a national recruiting firm specializing in placing financial planning professionals with leading wealth management firms nationwide. We are representing a fee-only firm in the Twin Cities that is seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join their team. Detailed job specifications available once we connect and agree it is a mutual fit.

FEE-ONLY. FIDUCIARY.

Our client started their firm in 2017 to serve both High Net Worth families and Gen X & Y professionals. They are a team of young professionals who are eager and ready to set themselves apart from the crowd. The owner manages over 40 client relationships and has been bringing on new clients at a rate of about 3 per month. Ultimately, the owner would like to manage around 75 clients, and then focus the rest of his time on managing the firm and marketing. With their current rate of growth, they need another advisor who is eager to become a lead advisor in 1 to 2 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES WE’LL TRUST YOU WITH

If it’s a fit, here is what you will be doing: have immediate, direct, and even lead client interactions for those coming to us for financial planning. Aid in the development of systems, processes and procedures. Manage the new client onboarding process with owner and virtual assistant. Assist with preparation and follow up action items for client meetings. Serve as lead advisor for certain new project-based clients. Pssst… this is not a role that requires business development responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 2-5 years of experience in an Associate Financial Advisor role. Ability to start leading client relationships in 1-2 years. Detail oriented: you see all the little things and take pleasure in making sure no ball gets dropped. Editing skills: you have experience editing emails and documents for grammar. Follow-up skills: you quickly follow up on any unresolved tasks. Effective communicator: you have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
