The High Net Worth team is a team within Ballentine Partners that provides wealth management services to families with investment assets generally between $3m - $20m and has grown rapidly over the last 10 years.

The Financial Planning Associate acts as a critical team member and facilitator in support of Senior Investment Advisors working with clients, their external advisors, and other internal partners. The overall goal is to serve clients’ wealth management needs and to help the team operate effectively and efficiently. Within our highly-collaborative, team-based service model, you will have significant responsibility in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting with client meeting prep and follow up
    1. Attending client meeting prep meetings and preparing client presentations including
      1. Updating net worth and historical net worth charts
      2. Updating net contributions/withdrawals summary
      3. Ensuring proper client set up in eMoney
      4. Running Black Diamond performance reports including gain/loss report, portfolio review snapshot and Black Diamond set up report
    2. Providing support with meeting follow up
  2. Managing eMoney for the team
    1. Inputting client data
    2. Updating account links and monitoring connection issues
    3. Sending client invites in eMoney
    4. Assisting IA/IAA with running eMoney models/reports
  3. Assisting with ad hoc financial planning projects which may include
    1. Automating client spreadsheets
    2. Inputting data into BNA for tax projections
    3. Assisting with charitable contributions and prepare charitable contribution letter
    4. Creating account matrixs for complicated clients
    5. Summarizing trust documents and dissecting key information
  4. Running Black Diamond reports for the HNW team
  5. Creating, owning and maintaining HNW templates

A bachelor’s degree, work toward the CFP designation, strong computer skills and experience in wealth management are preferred. The right person must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced, knowledge-intensive, and service-oriented environment with a demonstrated interest in wealth management for families.
