Client Service Associate
Benningfield Financial Advisors, LLC is a boutique, fee-only advisory firm in the Presidio of San Francisco that has been providing financial management to individuals and families for over fifteen years. We value the collegiality of a small team and rarely add new members but are now seeking a talented Client Service Associate to provide mission-critical administrative assistance to our firm.
Job Responsibilities
As the Client Service Associate, you’ll perform a blend of activities:
Investment-Account Advocate
You’ll serve as the liaison between clients and financial custodians and manage all account-related activities such as new-account paperwork, asset transfers, deposits and withdrawals, and client service requests. This requires accuracy with financial forms and an ability to manage client expectations and work persuasively with the custodians when the inevitable glitch arises.
Data Wizard
As our resident “data wizard,” you’ll help gather and maintain data in our portfolio-accounting, CRM, and other programs, including personal client information, investment details, and data from tax returns, estate plans, and insurance policies. Over time, we hope you’ll offer suggestions for how we can improve use of our integrated systems.
General Admin
You’ll compose detailed client communications and respond to general client questions. You’ll help schedule client meetings, manage office supplies and vendor relationships, and manage mailings. We’ll also need your help proofing and editing our own communications, fielding phone calls, and helping manage the occasional client event, among other things.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have a bachelor’s degree, a few years’ experience in a professional-services firm, and a strong preference for organization, efficiency, and getting things done. You’ll know Microsoft Office Suite and be comfortable with technology. You’ll have a strong desire to help people and a knack for making clients feel better because it’s clear that you care about their well-being.
You’ll be a good project manager, inclined to ask questions, and enjoy the satisfaction of working independently to accomplish as much as possible before heading home for the day. We hope you’ll have some interests outside of work that feed your spirit and help you bring energy and insights to our work of helping clients live meaningful, financially secure lives.
Compensation & Benefits
You’ll be working in a beautiful, tranquil office with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We offer competitive salary and benefits – medical, dental, disability, 401(k), vacation and holidays.
Application
If interested, please send a resume and cover letter describing what you’re looking for in your next position. The cover letter is important, so we decline to respond to resumes without a letter. Send these items to clientservice@benningfieldadvisors.com. We promise to hold all communications in confidence.
