Senior Financial Advisor/Director of Financial Planning

Job Overview:

The Senior Financial Advisor/Director of Financial Planning will support the next stage of the firm’s growth by developing new client relationships as well as succeeding the founder as the primary advisor for his book of business. They will uphold our commitment to comprehensive financial life planning by using their considerable expertise to serve clients and train junior planning staff.

Reports to: current firm partners.

Financial Life Focus offers a competitive salary, health insurance, 401(k) with match, and an allowance for training/conferences. The right candidate will be on track to become a partner within five years.

Responsibilities and Duties (listed in order of importance & time spent):

  • Provide extensive technical financial planning expertise to the firm’s clients
  • Perform financial life planning work for clients or possess a great interest in learning to do so
  • Develop business for the firm by building relationships with existing and new clients
  • Train and on-board junior financial planners

The Senior Financial Advisor/Director of Financial Planning will be evaluated based on ability to develop new and existing business relationships, ensure the success of junior planners, and commit to continued learning and growth alongside the rest of the team.

Qualifications:

Education & experience:

CFP® and 7-10+ years of experience doing comprehensive financial planning

Skills:

A proven ability to create, deepen, and maintain relationships

Practicing (or highly interested in) Financial Life Planning and using Money Quotient tools
