The Firm

Paragon Capital Management is a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm located in downtown Denver. Paragon has served senior corporate executives and wealthy families since 1990 and manages approximately $800 million of assets spanning 150 client relationships. The firm structures customized and unique portfolio solutions, and takes on special projects that are not typically addressed by wealth management firms.

Job Responsibilities

Paragon currently has four investment advisors (three are CFAs) that work directly with clients. Initially, the applicant will directly support these individuals by assisting with the preparation of balance sheets, quarterly reports, tax forecasts, retirement projections and estate road maps. The applicant will also be instrumental in helping the company automate several trading and portfolio management functions in addition to assisting with investment research projects. Finally, the candidate will also support the firm with various operational and back-office duties, including assisting the chief compliance officer with the firm’s regulatory filings and overall compliance efforts.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

We seek an individual that wants to learn our systems and processes, adopts an investment philosophy and approach that the company has followed since the firm’s inception and looks to possibly become a financial advisor with our firm in three to five years. Ideally, the candidate should have a CFP, CPA, CFA or graduate degree credential. The candidate must be diligent, detail oriented, exhibit strong character, have high ethical standards and be intellectually curious. Most importantly, the candidate must have meaningful experience in the following areas:

-1-financial planning and analysis

-2-computer programming as it relates to trading platforms, data migration, automating financial reports, and back office support
