Financial Advisor Associate
FINANCIAL ADVISOR ASSOCIATE POSITION
Growing, top-ranked wealth management firm offering a financial advisor associate position for an individual who has either already obtained or is in the process of attaining a CFP or CFA designation. PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Responsibilities
- Daily account monitoring & reporting
- Manage investment account updates in portfolio management system (Tamarac) such as new security coding, new account client groupings and reviewing accuracy of asset transfers between accounts. (staged responsibilities with supervision)
- Account support & interfacing with Schwab Institutional
- Manage workflow assignments and respond to client inquiries
Investment Management
- Performance tracking for index, no-load mutual funds and a subset of individual equities
- Investment monitoring/analysis
- Trade entry, review & reconciliation
- Investment repositioning for deposits and withdrawals
- Appreciated charitable gift coordination and processing
- Year-end investment tax analysis support
Client Meetings & Financial Planning
- Investment Policy Statement preparation
- Financial plan preparation in EMoney and discrete exercises for client meetings
- Participation in meetings and follow-up notes
- Semi annual tax return outreach and review
Business Development
- Research for blog posts, with optional writing
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of different account types (such as individual, IRA, SEP, custodial, trusts, Section 529, other)
- Experience in managing investment account functions
- Portfolio management system experience
- CRM system experience
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task a high volume of critical client responsibilities and independent tasks
- Acute attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 to 5 years work experience in the financial services industry
- CFP or CFA candidate or certification preferred
- Series 65 preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Competitive salary: $60,000 to $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus potential, based upon personal performance
