Job Description: Associate Financial Planner - Colorado Springs, CO
As a valuable member of our firm you will approach employment as part of an impassioned team with the vision and goal of providing outstanding, personalized, and platinum service in fee-only, fiduciary, and tax focused financial planning.
You will be working with the Senior Planner/Owner and the Office Manager, to serve our retainer clients, delivering exceptional service for their personal finances, including tax work and some business consultation. We offer comprehensive planning, under a retainer model, emphasizing uniquely personalized service.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist the Senior Planner/Owner in meeting preparation for the full range of client meetings, organize and effect follow-up, work closely with our Office Manager to learn and effect a smooth flow of tasks, and gain competence in the scope and depth of our client services
• Participate in client meetings and build sound relationships with clients. This may include financial fitness reviews for one time clients to build on experience. Depending on applicant’s experience, begin assuming the role as key advisor for some clients, and participate in the growth of our firm by serving new clients
• Prepare and make recommendations for client financial plans, including entering data and running appropriate reports using financial planning software
• Prepare and make recommendations on client investments, including the creation of investment policy statements and portfolio allocation reports
• Analyze and assist in preparation of client tax returns and make recommendations for tax-saving measures
• Analyze client insurance policies and estate planning documents, and prepare recommendations.
• Participate in the growth of the firm through active promotion to firm’s target markets
Job Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with MBA or advanced degree/designation preferred
• CFP® or work in progress towards CFP® Designation
• 2+ years previous experience in financial services, or similar field is strongly preferred
• Skilled user of Microsoft Office and experience with financial planning software desirable
• Excellent communication and strong business writing skills is required
• Willingness to learn the methodologies and strategies of our firm and how they serve the client
• Accuracy, both in detail and broad scope is required
• Experienced financial planner with a client base who wants to move towards fee only retainer planning is a plus
• Background check required
