Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC, a well-established Philadelphia-based firm, ranked as a Top 100 in the U.S. (#1 in PA) by Barron’s, Forbes, CNBC and by Financial Advisor magazine as one of the top wealth management firms in the nation is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented J.D. or a CPA with at least two years of experience in estate, tax and financial planning to join our practice as an Associate Financial Advisor. Working in close collaboration with the firm’s Principal and Senior Wealth Management Advisors, as well as the firm’s client services, operations, investment and marketing teams, the Associate Financial Advisor helps coordinate and deliver financial advisory and wealth management services to targeted groups of established high-net-worth clients and/or institutions. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining client relationships, providing expert financial planning and investment advice, retaining and increasing client assets under management and supporting Wescott’s sales and marketing teams in the acquisition of new business.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a J.D. or a CPA with at least two years of experience in estate, tax and financial planning. Candidates having additional certifications (CFP, CPA, LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation, etc.) will be given preference.
Key Tasks:
1. Establishes and maintains client relationships
•Develops and maintains supportive/consulting rapport with assigned clients
•Proactively communicates/reports/meets with clients (as appropriate)
•Maintains an up-to-date awareness of client wealth management issues and needs
•Proactively communicates changes or opportunities related to client Wealth Management goals
2. Provides counsel, guides, implements, monitors and periodically adjusts client’s wealth management strategies and plans
3. Actively demonstrates/develops and maintains specialized subject matter expertise
•Has a deep and current understanding of subject matter? Portfolio Management (implementing Wescott’s Models, monitoring and re-balancing).

•Participates in continuing education and maintains appropriate licenses and certifications
• Provides firm-wide thought leadership on subject matter?Writes two practical, client-centered articles per year
?Seeks out and engages in opportunities to present subject matter to clients, prospective clients and the professional community
?Keeps other members of the team informed of current issues and opportunities related to subject matter
?Consults with other members of the WM team on client matter
?Provides subject matter expertise on specific client matters
?Serves as a member of Wescott’s Portfolio Strategy Group
4. Increases Client AUM
•identifies and brings in new assets to manage from current clients
•Works with other Wescott executives to qualify and close new client opportunities
•Develops and maintains a network of COIs relevant to Wescott’s Financial Advisory Business
•Identifies and refers new client leads from personal COIs and former client relationships
5. Consistently uses all Wescott tools and systems and maintains all documentation and work process protocols
