MainStreet Financial Planning, Inc. is an established, fee-only financial planning company in the process of an exciting expansion of our business. As such, we are currently seeking experienced Financial Planners to service new & current clients. The ideal candidate for this position is a certified professional who has experience providing sound financial advice to a wide range of individuals. The successful applicant will join an experienced team that provides comprehensive advice to clients regarding debt management, cash management, investments and insurance.

MainStreet specializes in hourly, fee-only or project-based comprehensive financial planning. We don’t sell financial product and don’t manage assets. We provide high-touch services designed to exceed the client’s expectations. Our Financial Planner position requires a passionate and goal-oriented, self-motivated and professional individual. All candidates should demonstrate a desire to network, build relationships, and communicate effectively with people.

Financial Planner responsibilities:
  • Execute the vision of the company by providing goals-based, comprehensive financial planning services to clients
  • Work with support staff to establish and update client records 
  • Assess client's overall financial picture, and understand their needs to devise an appropriate financial plan
  • Act as liaison to CPAs, attorneys, insurance providers and other financial professionals
  • Actively network to help generate new clients for the business
  • Manage ongoing relationships with clients, keeping them updated about any changes affecting their finances
  • Maintain a strong commitment to teamwork and contribute to the overall success of the company
  • Assist other Certified Financial Planner™ professionals in profiling clients, issue spotting, researching issues utilizing available resources, new client acquisition, and developing sophisticated planning strategies

Financial Planner Skills:

  • CFP Certification required
  • Strong ability to analyze market's financial data and provide adequate financial advice
  • 5+ years' experience in a financial planning role
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software. Knowledge of WealthBox CRM and MoneyGuidePro a plus.
