Planning Specialties
I founded Gunder Wealth Management, LLC (GWM), an independent registered investment advisor, in 2019. My drive to consistently challenge myself professionally and desire to be part of the advice-driven, technology-focused movement within the financial planning space led me to start my own firm. Want the resume version? Read on!
Prior to GWM, I was the Chief Operations Officer and Head of the Investment Committee at a $350M advisory firm affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, for over two years.
For the six years prior to that, I was a Relationship Manager at Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services (NTHFS) in Chicago. Most notably, I was the RM on a $4B high-frequency, Commodity Trading Advisor. I also had three years of experience as the Team Lead on a $9B hybrid fund structure responsible for financial statement creation and technology development.
Prior to joining NTHFS (formerly Omnium LLC, a subsidiary of Citadel LLC), I was at KPMG in Chicago for six years where I ended my career there as an Audit Manager, with a primary focus on Global Financial Institutions.
I majored in Finance and Accounting at Miami University in Oxford, OH, and earned my Masters in Accountancy from Miami. I'm a CFA(R) charterholder, a CFP(R) professional, and a CPA (inactive). Locally, I'm is a board member of the CFA Society of Detroit and member of the Finance Committee of IMPACT100 of Oakland County.
Additional Information
Whether you lack time, skill, or discipline, I believe you need a financial advisor to stay accountable and be proactive. It's easy to document your plan on paper but if someone isn't in your corner looking out for your financial well-being or adjusting your plan as life changes, it's easy to get off track. I want to partner with you to give you confidence in the decisions you make and free up your time enabling you to live your ideal life. Selecting a financial advisor is about developing a partnership with someone who is relatable and simplifies the process. My goal is to do more than manage your investments; I strive to deliver an advice-driven experience that you can count on.
