Caregiving responsibilities are challenging and time-consuming and can have serious financial consequences for the caregiver who often juggles career and caring responsibilities. Caregivers come from all age groups and income levels and becoming a caregiver can happen at any time. If you are a caregiver, or expect that you may be one at some time, it's important that you take the necessary steps to secure your own financial future while you focus on caring for your loved one.

Real Estate Professionals and Investors. Whether it is inherited or purchased, real estate is a significant portion of many portfolios. With the compleity of the new tax laws, it's important to seek out advisors with expertise in real estate investing.

After earning a B.S. in Business Administration at the University of Richmond, Maggie led tour groups to the former Soviet Union. Subsequently, she earned her MBA from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she consulted with small businesses before returning to her Midwest roots to raise her family. She began her career in accounting in 2009 when her youngest son started kindergarten, and was able to strike a work-life balance preparing tax returns remotely. She also found the time to enroll in accounting classes which led to getting her CPA in 2013, and later her CFP® certification. Since then, she has been a tax consultant with an emphasis on Real Estate taxation. Recently, Maggie and her sister formed a property management company to manage a portfolio of mixed use properties.
