Planning Specialties
Buoyant Wealth specializes in thoughtful retirement planning for couples with $2-5 million dollars. We are so excited to facilitate deep, iterative discussions about the full potential of your wealth. Want a beach house? Fund your grandchildren's education? Trips to Europe? We love helping you weigh the tradeoffs in retirement after we've established the fundamentals: When can you retire? When should you take Social Security? How much can you spend in retirement? Where does your retirement paycheck come from? How should you invest in retirement and how is that different from when you were working? How should you be thinking about housing, healthcare, and leaving money to your family when you die? We also particularly enjoy helping clients craft investment portfolios that include or exclude things that are consistent with their values (i.e., avoiding weaopons manufacturers).Additional Information
Hi there, and thanks for checking out my firm! I'll cut right to the chase: most of the financial industry is geard toward helping people accumulate wealth. That's actually the easy part.
Figuring out how to enjoy it without running out of money is much more difficult. It's so hard that many people never figure out how to actually spend in retirement, leaving their beneficiaries to spend for them. Early in my career, I saw a few clients' retirements irreparably changed because their health declined to a point that made it impossible for them to enjoy the wealth they built. There were no golden years. Just a brief transition from working to navigating chronic health issues.
I am on a mission to help people make the transition to, and navigate their retirement. But perhaps more than that, I am driven by a need to help people figure out how they spend and enjoy their wealth before it is too late.
Outside of work, I thoroughly love being a Dad to my young family. In my spare, spare time (not a typo) you can find me re-seasoning my cast iron pans, finishing 80% of a new home improvement project, or devouring a new non-fiction book. I love to learn!
If you're looking for a specialist to help you navigate retirement, I'd be honored to see your name on my calendar. You can book a time on my website for a free introductory chat.
