Tom Orecchio is Chief Executive Officer, Principal & Wealth Manager at Modera Wealth Management, LLC. With over 25 years of experience in wealth management, Tom has always believed that the best way to serve clients and provide objective advice is through the independent, fee-only approach. During that time he has had the privilege of serving individuals, families, nonprofit organizations, foundations, trusts and others in all areas of their investment and wealth management needs.

Tom’s career began at Heritage Financial where he worked as a financial planner. In 1995, he joined the firm Greenbaum and Associates where he later became a partner. His role as a principal and wealth manager continued as the firm grew and evolved into Greenbaum and Orecchio and then into its current entity, Modera Wealth Management, LLC.

Additional Information

Tom received his B.A. in Government and Law from Lafayette College. He went on to earn some of the most recognized credentials in the industry. Tom holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He also is a Chartered Financial Consultant®, a Chartered Life Underwriter® and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. Tom demonstrated his leadership and commitment to fiduciary standards in the industry by serving as Chairman of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) (2007 -2008), a national board member (2004-2008), and currently is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor. He is an active member of the CFA® Institute, the National CEO Study Group, the 20/20 National Study Group, and the Northeast Advisory Board for Layfette College. Tom also serves as a Board Member of the Finance Committee of the Cathedral of Saint John The Theologian and Northvale PAL, Inc. Tom Orecchio was the recipient of the 2013 NAFPA Robert J. Underwood Distinguished Service Award.

Outside of Modera, Tom is actively involved in the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Modera Charitable Foundation and a Director of the Modera Wealth Management Scholarship Fund. He loves spending time with his family and three sons. He often can be found on the football or baseball field coaching his sons’ teams. He is currently serving as the NV Eagles Youth Football President and Treasurer for the Bergen County Junior Football League. He previously served on the Youth Baseball Board of Directors in his town. (CAM 3104)
