Planning Specialties
Milne Financial Planning, a Vermont-based firm, specializes in providing fee-only advice to clients in Northern New England and across the country. Clients typically find us when they are close to retirement and want a straight answer and a workable plan. They want to know if they can retire now? And, if not, when can they retire comfortably? Our one-time services are built to answer those questions clearly and lay out steps to move forward. Over the years we have helped 500+ clients make retirement decisions with more confidence. We turn your moving parts into a clear plan you can follow.Additional Information
Jamie Milne founded Milne Financial Planning in the mid-1990s after beginning his career in the banking and insurance industries. As a CFP professional, he came to strongly believe that the fee-only model offered the best way to provide advice with clients’ interests at the forefront. That philosophy has remained central to the firm ever since. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in advancing the financial planning profession through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He previously served as NAPFA Chair and has continued his service through the NAPFA Foundation, where he's held leadership roles including Treasurer and President and currently serve as a Trustee. Jamie is active in Rotary International, having served as a Past Governor of Rotary District 7850, and he is proud to be a founding member of the Rotary Kingdom Impact Club. Milne Financial Planning is also very much a family endeavor. He and his wife, Katheryn, run the business together. Between us, we are also the proud parents of five grown daughters and grandparents to four grandchildren. Jamie tries to stay active in every season. In the summer, he lives for waterskiing, while winters give him an opportunity to hit the slopes. But his real happy place is the garage, where he enjoys tinkering with and caring for a small collection of cars.NAPFA Start Date
