Planning Specialties
I am passionate about helping Gen X professionals, entrepreneurs, executives and business owners make smart financial decisions with their money so they can live a better life.
I work collaboratively with you because I understand that you want to be part of the financial planning process. We will have real discussions about money and together we will figure out how to put you back in charge of your finances and on the path to financial freedom. Gen Xer are largely ignored by financial planning professionals and I here to change that.
My clients seek advice on a wide variety of issues, but generally share similar characteristics: they generate good income but struggle to increase their net worth; they tend to have too much debt and don't know what to do about it; they want to develop good saving and investing habits; they want to use technology that gives them a comprehensive real-time view of their finances; they want to invest in themselves both personally and professionally; they want professional guidance and support; and they are more focused on enjoying their life than the trditional meaning of retirement.

I grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, earned my undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and then moved to San Diego, California. I returned to Massachusetts in 1996 to become a partner in Spillane & Chandonnet, a local CPA firm. In 2004, I founded Spillane Financial Planning to better serve the financial planning needs of my clients. I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of experience.
