Peter Somich is a Principal and Senior Investment Analyst at Modera Wealth Management. Peter sits on Modera’s Investment Committee and focuses on investment research. The Investment Committee is responsible for decisions regarding the firm’s asset allocation policies and manager selection. Peter also oversees the firm’s portfolio management processes including rebalancing client portfolios, reconciling client accounts and aiding wealth managers in portfolio implementations. In addition, he supports many of the firm’s institutional relationships and often meets with these clients to review portfolio performance and positioning. Pete also chairs the Strategic Planning Committee at Modera. The Stategic Planning Committee works with the Board of Directors to identify and research opportunities and obstacles of the firm and steer Modera in the direction of purpose driven growth, with the intention of enhancing the services Modera provides and improving the client experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - Peter graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and economics, and went on to earn a Master of Science in finance from Syracuse University. Peter holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® certification, the Certified Financial Planner™ certification and a Series 65 License. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) as well as NAPFA Genesis.
OUTSIDE OF MODERA - Outside of work Peter is a member at large of the Minds Matter Boston Associate Board. Minds Matter is an organization focused on highly motivated low income high school students. His other interests include playing sports such as golf and basketball. (1/29/2020ER)
