Helping Clients Identify & Achieve Goals: Our discovery process helps our clients uncover and prioritize their goals based on their core values.  Aligning these core values with financial decisions often leads our clients to more satisfying as well as a financially secure and fulfilling lives.

Ongoing Investment Management: The RTD investment committee constructs portfolios that are designed to help our clients achieve their goals with the least amount of risk.  Our disciplined process looks at all portfolios on a daily basis and uses “opportunistic rebalancing” to take advantage of market fluctuations.  We strive to achieve tax efficiency and to keep costs low.

Retirement Planning: Navigating through the maze of laws regarding retirement planning is one of our specialties.  We provide advice on such subjects: the best way to fund retirement; Roth conversion analyses; the ideal way to withdraw funds during retirement; maintaining purchasing power during retirement; determining the proper investment mix during retirement.

Estate Planning: We work with our clients and their estate attorneys to ensure that our clients have the most appropriate estate plan in place.  A well constructed estate plan in first and foremost based upon goals and values.  We will help coordinate your estate goals and wishes in conjunction with your wills, trusts, account titling, beneficiaries, investments, contingency plans, etc.  Estate planning is an ongoing process that must be re-addressed as needs, circumstances, goals, and estate laws change

Additional Information

Richard Durso attended LaSalle High School and St. Joseph’s University (Bachelor of Science in Business Management and M.B.A. in Finance) and has earned the CFP®, ChFC, and AEP.  His professional experience includes financial planning and investment management.  As a financial planner, he is passionate about bringing structure and organization to his clients’ lives by cultivating a plan based upon their life goals and unique situations.  He is a firm believer in establishing goals, developing a plan, and having the vigor to stick to that plan. Richard’s specialty is to ensure that family wealth and values are passed down to future generations through proper estate and financial planning.

Richard is a contributor the Journal of Financial Planning and has been quoted by financial publications such as Kiplinger’s and MSN Money.  Richard is the chair of the education committee and board member for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.  He is also a member of NAPFA and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.  Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He is married and has two daughters.  Richard balances his time with family, work, ice hockey, and a healthy lifestyle.
