Planning Specialties

Needs and Wants-Based Planning

A plan is not a report that you write once and assume that nothing changes. Does your life stand still without surprises? Of course not. Therefore, a good plan will  look at all your family's hopes and dreams and boil them down to what you must accomplish, hope to accomplish, and dream about accomplishing. And as the markets and life continue to throw their curveballs, we refer back to your plan to see what (if anything) needs adjusting.

Triple-threat stress testing

In the markets, "average" returns actually almost never occur. Averages are mixes of various highs and lows. Therefore, we believe that a solid plan goes well beyond average returns. When stress-testing a plan, we start with average returns but then layer on additional return tests including historical returns and Monte Carlo analysis, to make every attempt to ensure that our plan is not only reasonable but solidly rooted in real market activity.
