Owen Murray is principally involved in investment research and portfolio construction. Owen spends much of his time analyzing the quantitative and qualitative aspects of prospective and selected money managers. In addition, he is a watchful observer of market events and portfolio performance. Owen conducts routine client account reviews and implements agreed upon portfolio changes based on his suggestions and input from other members of the Horizon Advisors team. As a core member of the wealth management team, Owen is often a participant in client meetings. Owen Murray joined Horizon Advisors in Houston, Texas in 2005. Owen began his investment career with Beutel, Goodman Capital Management where he served as a Portfolio Analyst specializing in tax sensitive portfolio management. He then joined Roxbury Capital Management as an Assistant Portfolio Manager where his principal duties included the management of individual client accounts and research support for the firm’s Core Equity Income portfolio. Owen Murray attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Houston.Additional Information
