Planning Specialties
I began my military career by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school in 1998. Over more than two decades of service, including multiple deployments, I experienced firsthand the demands, uncertainty, and sacrifice that military life often requires. Throughout my career, I was known as a budget nerd. I cared deeply about how decisions today shaped options tomorrow, both for my family and for the Marines around me. That curiosity eventually led me to the profession of financial planning, where I discovered the Military Financial Advisors Association, the XY Planning Network, and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification as the gold standard for providing objective, client-centered advice. During my military retirement transition, I focused fully on my CFP® education and exam, successfully passing while preparing for life after uniformed service. I also became the first SkillBridge participant through the Military Financial Advisors Association, gaining hands-on experience serving military families during their own transitions.Additional Information
My wife and I have been married since 1999, and together we have raised two sons, one of whom now serves in the United States Air Force. Like many military families, we spent years balancing duty, deployments, and family life. While we are grateful for our military experience, the shift toward placing family first during military retirement has been a meaningful and welcome change. Outside of work, I value staying active and engaged in my community. I am a long-distance runner, cyclist, and musician, and I remain involved in my church and local service efforts. I believe true wealth is not defined solely by what we accumulate, but by how we grow, give, and serve others.NAPFA Start Date
