Planning Specialties
Integrating Personal & Business Finances
Helping business owners and professionals create a cohesive financial strategy that connects household finances with business decisions. This includes aligning cash flow, savings, taxes, and long-term planning so everything works together rather than competing for attention.
Managing Variable Income
Working with clients who experience uneven or unpredictable income to smooth cash flow, build resilient savings systems, and plan with confidence even when income fluctuates from month to month or year to year.
Tax-Aware Financial Planning
Proactively identifying tax-efficient strategies for business owners and professionals, including freelancers, sole proprietors, and S-corporation owners. Planning focuses on coordinating income, deductions, retirement savings, and entity structure with the goal of reducing surprises and improving after-tax outcomes.
Long-Term & Retirement Planning
Helping clients map a clear path from today’s decisions to long-term financial independence and a secure retirement. This includes scenario planning, trade-off analysis, and ongoing adjustments as life, work, and priorities evolve.
Planning Through Life & Career Transitions
Supporting clients through moments of change such as career shifts, business growth, family changes, or major financial decisions, ensuring those transitions are handled thoughtfully and aligned with long-term priorities.
Additional Information
I’m Igor Aronov, CFP®, founder of FAR Financial, an independent, advice-only financial planning firm based in Brooklyn, NY. I work with business owners, busy professionals, and families who want practical guidance and a clearer understanding of their financial picture.
Before entering financial planning, my professional background was in design and technology, including nearly two decades as a business owner. That experience continues to shape how I work with clients today. I understand the real-world complexity of running a business, navigating income variability, making high-stakes decisions, and managing the emotional side of money alongside the technical details.
My planning style is collaborative, judgment-free, and focused on helping clients make confident, informed decisions. Rather than overwhelming clients with jargon or one-size-fits-all recommendations, I aim to create clarity, structure, and a sense of direction that adapts as life changes.
I am a fiduciary at all times and work on an advice-only, fee-only basis, offering flat-fee and hourly financial planning. My focus is on education, transparency, and long-term decision support.
